“Photography lets me bear witness to and share the beauty of nature”. Thierry Vezon no doubt developed his love for being close to nature during his holidays in the Camargue nature reserve in the south of France. Since beginning his freelance career in 2004, he has tirelessly photographed nature in all its forms to “create an emotional response and thereby raise awareness of biodiversity”. He made a name for himself early on by winning several awards, including the 2004 Montier-en-Der International Nature and Wildlife Photography Festival (Haute Marne) and the Grand Prize of the International Bird Festival in 2005. He has published a number of books, including Camargue entre ciel et terre and Le flamant rose en Camargue, both republished in 2023. He has exhibited extensively around the world, including in Wuhan, China in 2023 with photos from his “Frozen Nature” series, and in Chengdu for “Camargue Nature”. Vezon is also a regularly contributor to major French and international nature magazines such as Terre Sauvage, Image et Nature, Géo and BBC Wildlife magazine.
