Born in 1987, Vietnamese photographer Thong Nguyen Huu is based in Hanoi. "I love to travel, to explore the beauty of nature and different cultures," he explains, "and photography seems to be the most romantic way to remember and share my experiences with the world.” He has collaborated with many Vietnamese and international publications alike, including The Times. Thong Nguyen Huu has won many awards including the Smithsonian Magazine's International Grand Prix in 2017, the Food Photo Awards in 2021, and the Vincent Van Gogh Photo Awards in 2021, to name a few! Thong Nguyen Huu has also exhibited his photos in the United States in an exhibition entitled "Vietnam, the human experience." For Thong Nguyen Huu, photography is first and foremost centred around emotion and human relationships: "I don't try to take beautiful photos", he says, "I just try to put emotion in my photos, I see with my eyes, I feel with my heart and at some point, I press the shutter".
