At twenty-four, with his diploma under his belt, Bernard Bertrand moved to Paris to assist the star of fashion photography, Jean Baptiste Mondino. By his side, he participated in campaigns on a global scale. Surrounded by the best models, hairdressers, make-up artists, decorators, and stylists, he also became aware of the importance of details and teamwork. After three formative years, he set out on his own. A specialist in fashion photography, he has expressed his world with precision for over twenty years, through numerous advertising campaigns and an equal amount of personal projects. Today, the artist continues to experiment and does not recoil before the complexity of technical staging. He says: “The tools available are absolutely incredibly powerful. If we are capable of taming them, we can make our wildest creative ideas a reality. It’s a sheer delight.”
