The only "contact" with the outside world I had was the telephone, which I ironically hate. I never pick up my phone or call anyone. I talk about it ironically because I love the object itself and I have a collection of vintage telephones, it's an element that often comes up in my photography. This despair and feeling of being lost is represented in this photo, the worry and near loss of identity, which has been my experience as an artist. I wanted to share this with the world. This photo is powerful to me, and I thought that was reason enough to submit it to the IPA (International Photography Award).

Elisa Miller

Already as a teenager, Elisa Miller dreamed of being a photographer. At the time, she used the 24-photo disposable cameras available to her. She only mastered framing at the time, but had fun with it. The years flew by and her favourite pastime gradually became a memory, until the day she passed in front of the lens. Fascinated by Hollywood glamour, Elisa Miller hung out in the rockabilly milieu of Paris and became a pin-up model. The transition behind the lens later happened naturally, like a return to her roots. Her interest in the vintage aesthetic and retro style thus became her signature, which she has exported to London, where she now makes a living from her art.

FRAMED GALLERY FORMATS

Classic Format 15,7x19,6" and 19,6x27,5"

YellowKorner proposes photographic prints on high-quality traditional paper with a certificate of authenticity. The prints are developed in our laboratory in numbered limited edition, with between 2,000 to 5,000 copies available worldwide depending on the format.
The size of the print varies from one artwork to the next. The total dimension, including the passe-partout, is 15,7x19,6" or 19,6x27,5 depending on the format chosen.

Large Passe-partout Format

New finish for the Large format: the print is made on forex, highlighted by a white ribbed passe-partout of 8cm in width and framed in black wood. The size of the print varies from one photograph to the next, which also affects its overall external dimension. It includes: the size of the print in the Large format, the passe-partout, and the frame.

GLOSSED GLASS

Available only in mounted formats

This technique consists of direct applying a gloss acrylic-glass plate onto the photograph after mounting, providing protection while accentuating the colours and therefore giving the print greater depth. This finish is ideal for heightening the colours of the photograph.

Expert Advice :

High-gloss acrylic glass is suitable for rooms with indirect lighting on the photograph.

MATTE GLASS

Available only in mounted formats

This technique consists of directly applying a matte acrylic-glass plate onto a print after mounting, including a protective anti-reflective finish. This finish is ideal for dark or black-and-white prints.

Expert Advice :

Matte acrylic glass is adapted to rooms with direct exposure to light and provides an anti-reflective coating for your art.

WITHOUT GLASS

Available only in mounted formats

This technique consists of gluing the print onto Dibond © (composite aluminium plate). This material is made of a layer of polyethylene sandwiched between two thin sheets of aluminium, making it stiff and light, with a total thickness of 2 mm.

This finish is not available in Prestige format

In galleries or on Yellowkorner.com it is possible to order the mounted print with or without a frame.

ANTI-REFLECTION MUSEUM GLASS

Only available for the Classic format 40x50cm

The framed gallery formats include a white passe-partout, creating a space between the print and the acrylic glass plate of the frame. It is a cardboard plate covered with laid paper on which we cut out a bevelled window to accommodate the print. This passe-partout highlights the artwork and gives it greater depth. Invisible and reflection-free, it ensures perfect colour restitution and allows the details to emerge without the slightest alteration, so that the attention is focused on the artwork.

Expert Advice :
Anti-reflective glass is adapted to bright rooms with direct exposure to sunlight.

FINISHING FOR LARGE FORMAT WITH PASSE-PARTOUT

The framed gallery formats include a white passe-partout, which creates a space between the print and the acrylic glass panel of the frame. It is a sheet of cardboard covered with laid paper on which we cut a beveled window to accommodate the print. This passe-partout enhances the artwork and provides it with greater depth.

MOUNTED WOOD FRAMES

6 Frames Available

The print is inserted into a 480 mm thick solid-wood, custom-built frame, assembled by hand. On the sides of the frame, we find two notches allowing the work to be hung directly.

This frame, known as the shadowgap frame, leaves a 15 mm wide space from the artwork, giving the artwork a sensation of floating in its frame, thus contributing an effect of lightness and depth. The shadowgap frame is available in six colours: These frames are available for mounted formats.

For security reasons, please note that the artworks are not delivered inside the frame. The frames are not available in Exception format.

ALUMINUM MOUNTED FRAMES

3 available frames

The print is inserted into a custom-made, hand-assembled aluminum frame with a thickness of 480 mm. On the sides of the frame, there are 2 notches allowing the artwork to be hung directly.

This frame, called a floating frame, leaves a 5 mm wide gap with the artwork, giving a floating effect and providing a sense of lightness and depth. The floating frame comes in 3 colors. These frames are available for mounted formats (except exceptions).

GALLERY FRAMES

4 Frames Available

The framing is divided into three distinct elements:

A plate of acrylic glass or museum glass
A protective plate on the back including two metal supports allowing it to be hung with a hook.
A border, in wood or aluminium, which links the two previous elements

Frames are available in several different materials and colours.

For security reasons, please note that the artworks are not delivered inside the frame. Only the black aluminium frame is available for the Classic format 50x70cm
