About the Artist

AMAURY DUBOIS
Born in 1980 in Lille, Amaury Dubois trained for four years in graphic arts at the Institut Saint-Luc de Tournai in Belgium. From a graffiti-covered studio to photographic compositions, his artistic style is made up of assemblages of several shots that he brings together in a single overall image. Through this singular procedure that he names "curvism", he attributes a new temporal dimension to his works and disturbs the spectator's field of vision. "Because there's nothing straight in reality. Because it's my choice to destroy straight lines." His roots can be found in the Cubist movement, among the New Realists and particularly César with his compressions of metal. The works of Amaury Dubois were exhibited in Singapore in 2016. They now belong to numerous collections in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Holland, as well as Brazil and the United States. He regularly collaborates with brands such as Smart, McDonald's France and the advertising agency TWBA.
