Thomas H.P. Jerusalem – MUTE is a German photographer. After living for several years in Frankfurt and London, he moved to the suburbs of Chicago in 2004 where he still lives today. Growing up in West Germany during the Cold War with his father’s oversized books from the New York Photo Academy had a considerable influence on his narrative style. It is most likely the many hours that he spent with his father, an amateur photographer, watching him develop his own images under a dim red light, that sparked his passion for imagery. Thomas H.P. Jerusalem – MUTE began his career in street photography and photojournalism, two very expressive methods that forged his sensitive approach. He now works in fashion and undertakes prestigious collaborations with international magazines: ESTETICA, VOGUE / Italian PhotoVogue, FHM, Dark Beauty, DODHO, and Kaltblut.
