Alexandra Jansen is a film photographer based in Sydney, Australia, known for her surreal in-camera double exposures that explore themes of nostalgic escapism. Working exclusively with 35mm film and natural light, she builds her images entirely in-camera, embracing the unpredictability and irreproducibility of each frame. Her practice emerged from a longing for freedom and simplicity, shaped during a period of isolation and illness.
