RangeFinder XIt only took one book to change Mehmet Esen’s life. The man known today under the pseudonym RangefinderX practised as a jeweller for many years before a book on urban photography took him by surprise and had a tremendous impact on him. A gift from his wife, this publication by the late lamented Ara Güler awakened in Esen a devouring interest that would push him to devote himself full-time to the eighth art. Today, the artist sees the world through his lens and immortalises the life to which he bears witness. His favourite playground? The street. From one encounter to the next, he captures its humour and contrasts.
