From Paris to Washington, from New York as far as Brighton, Philippe Geslin has frequented the benches of the most prestigious universities to study ethnology and explore the relationships woven between people and things in contrasting worlds: in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Greenland. This attentive observer whose career cannot only be limited to sociology, sometimes makes incursions into the behind-the-scenes world of creative artists and takes photographs of his journeys that bear witness to his encounters in the field. Photography is a true passion that he has maintained since the age of 7 and is now at the heart of his ethnographic work, to the point of taking over from the writing itself. This passion has led the photographer to hold a number of exhibitions, at the Festival du Photoreportage de Barro for his series on the Inuit, in Peruvian Amazonia for his images on the Amarakaeri community, and in Switzerland for his work on the last hunters of Greenland and the Susu of Guinea.
