There’s something gratifying about being the only person on a city beach. The solitary environment allowed me to employ a minimalist approach, without the distraction of people. Captured in Dubai, this image was taken during the summer, when temperatures can reach an unbearable 40+ degrees centigrade.”
In the modern world, the daily routine we have evolved to live in, demands social connectivity almost every minute of the day. It’s for this exact reason I became a photographer. These plastic sun-loungers offer people some respite from the chaos of modern life. Isn’t it time we learned how to be still and took a moment to realise there’s more to life.

About the Artist
Anthony Lamb was always destined for an artistic career. Born and raised in the north of England, he became interested in the fine arts early on and embarked on studies in Object and Furniture Design at Nottingham Trent University. However, his interest in photography would later get the upper hand. In 2003, this seasoned traveller started documenting his journeys, particularly those that took him towards populated areas. With his camera in hand and his passion for minimalist art and design in mind, he strives to capture the essence of landscapes through a simple point of view. Now based between London and Abu Dhabi, Anthony Lamb has over fifty international photography awards to his name. Exhibitions, galleries, magazines… His ethereal style procures a sense of serenity and calm to the four corners of the globe.
