Eli Rezkallah grew up in a war-torn Lebanon. While he lived in a remote oasis, he didn’t feel it, but his mother, despite her efforts to dress up and feast, had nowhere to go. As he grew up and began to see the world with clarity, Eli Rezkallah decided to do exactly as his mother always did: create a wonderful fantasy world to escape to. When he was 21 years old, Plastik was born. More than a magazine, Plastik is a parallel universe that has become a true international phenomenon. The idea? Beauty, fashion and extravagance, all tinged with a disconcerting melancholy and lethargy.
