Charles Groc de Salmiech is a wildlife photographer. Based in Auvergne, this nature lover taught himself the basics of the eighth art. His goal? To share the way he perceives the fauna and flora around him. In late 2020, he created “imaginary animals”. Beyond a simple series of shots, imaginary animals gradually form the residents of a magical world in which animality meets fantasy and surrealism. A true perfectionist, Charles Groc de Salmiech lends importance to each detail to help his audience’s flights of fancy. He says, “imaginary animals are above all a feeling, an emotion, the transcribing of animal beauty as images.”
