Olivier Anrigo fell into photography from a tender age. Initiated by his father, a professional photographer, he learned the basics at the family company, then, thanks to an encounter with photographer Eric Gaillard, he flew solo and became a photojournalist. Established as an independent, he has worked for several years at various agencies such as Reuters, EPA Images, Getty Images, or with certain media outlets like French sports paper L’Équipe. Passionate about nature and wildlife, at the same time, he has undertaken several expeditions to the Polar Circle and Africa since 2013. His photos taken in the savannah were published in his first book, Kenya Safari, in 2018. “Working as a photo reporter for many years taught me to approach the subject from different angles,” he explains. “Observation is the key.” In 2021, after three expeditions to the edge of the Arctic, he published his second book Arktic Circle and created the environmental programme Arktic Interactions in parallel, working to preserve wildlife. “The question for authenticity through photography is the mission of an entire lifetime,” he concludes. “Capturing, moving, and passing down knowledge for future generations…”
