Thijs Spuijbroek owes his passion for photography to a traditional Nikon F60 camera that his father gave him for his sixteenth birthday. Today, he specialises in landscape photography, helped by his profession as a pilot, which has enabled him to travel to the four corners of the globe and, of course, to bring his camera with him: “Photography enables me to capture a unique moment in a given place, a moment that will never happen again in the same way,” he explains. Born in the Netherlands, he now lives in Barcelona (Spain) and is surprised to see tourists taking photographs of his city in ten seconds, publishing them on social networks, to then possibly never look at them again. His approach is very different: “My goal is to capture all of the beauty our world offers us and to transform it into a work of fine art,” he insists. “Art gives you the possibility of immortalising the vision of a landscape and being able to look at it later whenever you like.”
