“ Through skin diving, you escape everything, ” says American photographer John Kowitz. “ You escape from gravity, noise, and the stresses of life to dive among a wondrous new world full of extraordinary creatures. ” Hawaii, Bahamas, Costa Rica… John Kowitz explores tropical waters the world over, armed with his lens. This lover of the ocean depths started his career as a skin diving instructor, but could not keep the beauty of what he sees underwater to himself. He trained as a photographer and gradually became a reference in terms of subaquatic photography. Divers, underwater animals, and aquatic settings, he immortalises the incredible life found under the sea. Through his shots, he hopes to encourage viewers to explore and protect the oceans.
