"I had no aptitude for drawing or painting on canvas so, to fulfill my artistic side, I opted for photography!" Or how to make a default choice the best one, by LP Provost! After being introduced to photography by his father, he studied at La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa, Canada, a school specializing in applied arts. He worked as a printer in a professional photography lab before taking his first pictures, mainly focused on architecture: "I really like simplicity, to catch an interesting detail or a play of light" he explains, "architectural photography must remain simple while highlighting the main subject. Highly influenced by the work of Julia Anna Gospodarou, he works in black and white and spends about 10 hours per photo in post production, "I really enjoy manipulating the light by selecting key elements of the image." Her work has been recognized nationally and internationally with over 70 awards including a silver medal with Team Canada at the WPC Awards in 2021 and Artist of the Year at the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) Gala in 2022.
