Kim Olesia is a photographer based in Tyumen, Russia. At 43 years old, she develops a street photography practice rooted in an attentive observation of everyday life and urban environments, where ordinary moments reveal a quiet sense of poetry and human presence. In 2016, she graduated from the Visual Art School in Moscow, studying under Maximishin, and since 2019 she has continued her education at the Docdocdoc photography school in Saint Petersburg. Her path reflects a continuous commitment to learning, shaped by a sustained engagement with documentary practices and the observation of real life. A member of the international collective iN-PUBLiC, dedicated to street photography, she situates her work within a tradition of discreet observation and spontaneous capture. In 2019, she published her photobook Tobolsk, the result of a long-term project focused on the Russian city and its atmosphere. Her images explore urban rhythms, anonymous gestures, and fleeting presences that compose the fabric of contemporary life.
