Photographer, author, and painter, Nikolaj Callesen loves to vary his pleasures. Born in Denmark, he attended the prestigious Glasgow School of Art in Scotland where he studied the fine arts. In 2006, he graduated in photography and launched his professional career. He soon felt the need to take a more hands-on approach. Passionate about drawing, he naturally picked up his brushes and started to paint over his photos. He created this fusion on the computer, keeping in mind the emotional and visual coherency of his original image. He thus creates honest, aesthetic, original, and above all, poetic artworks. He invites the audience to explore their emotions in mixed media.
