Astronophilos

A Nice-based astrophysicist turned sky photographer, Anthony Salsi, alias Astronophilos, captures the universe from... his balcony! In the heart of the city, he pushes the boundaries of astrophotography using a technique he helped popularize in France: photographic composition. He records thousands of images with various instruments and then combines different elements to create unique images. Sometimes more artistic than realistic, they show stars, clouds, and the moon intertwining to reveal the unexpected richness of the night sky. Since 2020, Astronophilos has been sharing his passion and knowledge with a large online community, inspiring hundreds of thousands of curious people to look up at the sky.
