Alexis Masson

Through these different photographs, I especially wanted to highlight significant moments in my life, my first time in the United States, my passion for animal photography. The best moments of a life deserve to be highlighted, and photography allows us to do this.

Alexis Masson is a photographer of the new generation. The one who started photography with a… smartphone and who, of course, publishes his photos on Instagram! It was only after a few years of practice, in 2022, that he bought a hybrid, "without however," he emphasizes, "stopping smartphone photography!" It is also thanks to this tool that he won three years in a row, in 2022, 2023 and 2024, a prize in the Focus #withGalaxy competition organized by the Samsung brand and of which Yellow Korner is a partner. These prizes earned him an exhibition at the MR08 gallery in the third arrondissement of Paris and to prepare a future exhibition on the Côte d'Opale (Hauts-de-France) where he is from. Alexis Masson particularly likes "wildlife, landscape and street photography." He even made his photo of a flamingo grooming his Instagram profile picture! During an event, he had the opportunity to chat with Laurent Dequick, an urban photography specialist whom he readily cites as a source of inspiration.

Anedocte

This series was created in early 2024 following an invitation from Samsung to discover a new smartphone model. The settings, which are usually found in American films, inspired me to create an Urban Street series. This series was made with a smartphone.
