Based in the Peak District, a mountainous region at the meridional extremity of the Pennines, in central-northern England, James Mills is a self-taught photographer. He says, “I’ve always been drawn to the forest. My many VTT excursions throughout my region have given me a taste of local trails, woods, and valleys. Outside year-round, in all weather, I became familiar with the changing light of the different seasons. Since then, I have enjoyed walking in the Peak District forest and trying to capture its magic.” Influenced by film and fantasy, he plunges the viewer into an eminently romantic world.
