Born in Belgium, David Degelin showed an interest in photography from an early age. Alongside his father, a film director, he was nourished by images, art, classical music and literature. With his mother, he discovers the richness of Japanese culture, becomes passionate about it and keeps this unique sense of aesthetics buried in him. David Degelin did not embrace a career as a photographer as soon as he left school. He first studied archaeology and social sciences and then embarked on a concordant career. It was not until a few years later that he returned to his first love, and the reunion was explosive. David Degelin rediscovers his passion and his thirst for creation. His objective? To express what he feels through the lens, without compromise. His inspiration: art in general and Japanese literature in particular.
